Cerebrovascular accident - CVA (stroke)

An obstruction to blood flow to a part of the brain causing nerve cell degeneration which leads to a permanent neurological deficit of varying degrees.

Age under 40 at the time of application	rated +175 minimum or declined
Age 40 or more at the time of application	rated +50 minimum or declined

More than 5 years since the episode:
Age 50 or less at the time of application	declined
Over age 50 at the time of application, with few or no sequelae	rated +150 and a waiting period of 120 days, or declined
