Diabetes type 2

A condition in which the pancreas does not produce enough insulin or the body does not respond appropriately to insulin. Also known as adult-onset or non-insulin dependant diabetes. Can be managed through diet and oral medication and rarely with insulin.

  • Complications and other related conditions (i.e., hypertension/high blood pressure, kidney disease, retinopathy, coronary artery disease)
  • Tobacco use
  • Height and weight
