Gestational diabetes

Impaired glucose tolerance of variable severity diagnosed for the first time during pregnancy in a woman without previously known diabetes mellitus. Usually disappears after delivery. May increase the risk of developing type 2 diabetes in the years following pregnancy. Also known as gestational diabetes.
